Science consensus on man-made CO2 increase will produce such a degree of ocean acidification that oysters, mussels, clams and corals “are going to grow 25% less shells in more acidic waters by the end of the century”.
Ocean acidification is already DISSOLVING, SOFTENING AND LIQUEFYING carbonate shells as shown in the picture.
You should start to collect then as soon as possible given that they will disappear from our beaches as the ocean will become more and more acidic at unusual speed.
Do not forget that PEARLS are carbonate precious stones manufactured by oysters in both natural and cultivated environments.

ANOTHER THING THAT THEY SILENCE is that TODAY there is no real “average pH” of marine waters, because the natural oceanic waters can vary between the alkaline values of 8.3 to 7.7.
A FURTHER FACT THEY NEVER MENTION is that the low pH’s of about 7.8 are associated with the NUTRIENT RICH UPWELLING CURRENTS that sustain the richest fisheries production. The areas of LOW pH upwelling regions represent 5% of the total oceanic waters while they produce 25% of the global marine fish catch.
